Since his youth he is inspired by nature and animals. So it wasn’t so strange that he started horse riding at a very young age. During his studies Food technology and Animal
Management it was always the animal who was in the centre of all. After his study he started his own company eQuest. As consultant he advised many people how to run
their own horse business. Additionally, my activities in this capacity have made a contribution to further professionalization of the Dutch horse industry. After 10 years he was
asked by a small Dutch pet food brand to develop and build the brands Denkadog, Denkacat and Reza. After 8 years working at Denkadog Tarique Arsiwalla (founder Protix)
asked him to join Protix to build the sales department. Now 3 years further Protix is growing fast and by the beginning of next year we will open our second facility in the
Netherlands to serve the market with more ProteinX, LipidX and PureeX . As Sales Director of Protix, he can tell you all you want to know about Protix’ insect products and
why we should use Insects. At Protix we sell sustainable insect protein meals, insect lipids end even Chitin-rich products like our fertilizer. He will help potential customers
from start to finish and everywhere in between. His in-depth knowledge of the Dutch and international pet food and feed industry is a valuable resource to have on board.
Insect ingredients offer a sustainable and innovative alternative for feed and food, and Roel is involved in exploring new options and opportunities by developing several
concepts like OERegg and Friendly Salmon together with his team.
